32 Kings of Shambhala

Lama Gombo, a leading proponent of Kalachakra and the Legend of Shambhala

The Kalachakra (in Mongolian Duinkhor) Temple at Gandan Monastery in Ulaan Baatar and the thangkas which are arranged around three walls of the building.

Below are thangkas in the Duinkhor Temple which depict 31 of the 32 Kings of Shambhala. The last King of Shambhala, Raudra Chakri, has reportedly been stolen, which if true is certainly an ominous development.

The thangka of Raudra Chakri, the 25th Kalkin King (32th of all the Shambhala Kings) is missing from the Gandan Kalachakra Temple. This is a depiction of Raudra Chakri (middle, in red) from a thangka in the Duinkor Temple.

Thangka of General Hanuman. Mongolians believe the Bodg Gegen of Mongolia will eventually be reincarnated as General Hanuman and along with the last King of Shambhala lead the final battle against the barbarians.
